Three names for the paperwork. Two documents you can actually make.

A work order, a service report, and a job sheet are not the same thing. JobSheet writes the first two. It does not write a receipt.

A work order before the job, or a service report after the visit. Each has its own sections.

    Fill in the job

Scope, schedule, and an estimate for a work order. Findings, work performed, and actual charges for a report.

  3. 3

    Preview and download

Sample

A sample service report

This sample is a fall furnace tune-up: findings, work performed, labor hours, a part, and a completion status. Internal notes such as a gate code stay off the customer copy. The work order version of the same job shows the scope, schedule, and an estimated total instead.

Built for the trades that write the ticket in the driveway

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, handyman, and general maintenance each have a template with prompts for that kind of visit, for both work orders and service reports. The prompts are hints; nothing is filled in for you.

Questions from the truck

What is a work order?

A work order describes work the customer requested or authorized: who it is for, where the job is, and the labor and parts you expect to use. It does not confirm that you were paid.

What is the difference between a work order and a service report?

A work order is written before the job: requested work, scope, schedule, and an estimate. A service report is written after the visit: findings, work performed, actual charges, and whether the job was completed. They are not interchangeable legal forms.

Can I turn a work order into a service report?

Yes. Choose “Start a service report from this” in the generator. The work order is saved to the job list first, and estimated lines are only copied if you choose to copy them.

What currency does JobSheet use?

US dollars only in this version. Amounts are calculated in cents so the totals add up exactly.

Can I download my work order as a PDF?

Yes. Choose US Letter or A4, then download the PDF or print the same page. JobSheet does not email the file for you.

Do I need an account?

No. Every work order and service report in this version is created without signing up.

Can I use JobSheet for HVAC, plumbing, or electrical jobs?

Yes. Each trade template opens a work order or a service report with prompts for that kind of visit. The prompts are hints in empty fields; nothing is filled in for you. A general template covers other maintenance work.

Does JobSheet create payment receipts?

No. A receipt confirms that payment was received. JobSheet creates work orders and service reports. It does not record payments.

Where are customer and job details stored?

On this device, in the browser. The open draft and any jobs you save to the job list stay here. JobSheet does not upload the draft, photos, or signature to a server.

Can I keep more than one job?

Yes. Save the open report to the job list on this device, then start another. The list is not an account and it does not sync to another phone.

Can I text the customer from JobSheet?

On a service report you can copy a customer update built from the diagnosis, the work performed, the recommendations, and the total. JobSheet does not send it. Internal notes are left out.

Can JobSheet email the PDF to the customer?

Not in this version. Download the PDF or use the print dialog, then send it with your own email or texting app.

Does the generator work on a phone?

Yes. The form is built for a phone in the driveway, with a document preview you can open when you want to check the page.

Is the generator free?

Yes. Creating, previewing, printing, and downloading work orders and service reports is free, and the generator does not show ads.

Can I print instead of downloading a PDF?

Yes. Print uses the same on-screen report. Choose US Letter or A4 before you print or download.

Finish the job. Leave with the report.

Write the work order or the service report before you leave. No account. The draft stays in this browser.
